Frequently Asked Questions

Trap Use & Setup

Q: How do I dispose of a rodent?
Turn the trap OFF, remove batteries, lift the top, and discard the rodent in an outdoor trash bin.

Q: How do I tell if the trap is active?
Switch ON: Green light flashes after warm-up. Trap beeps when armed and flashes every 10 seconds while on standby.

Q: What if there’s no green light when I switch it on?
Check battery placement (+/-), clean the metal contacts, and try again.

Q: What does a blinking red light mean?
Low battery. Replace with fresh batteries. Clean battery terminals if the issue persists.

Trap Performance & Troubleshooting

Q: Why isn’t the trap catching rodents, even with bait?
Ensure proper placement along rodent paths. Try using strong-scented bait (e.g. peanut butter) and train rodents gradually by baiting with the trap off for a few days.

Q: The bait is gone, but no rodent was caught. What now?
The shock plate may not be functioning. Contact us for further assistance and guidance.

Q: The bait area was chewed by rodents.
Please contact us for a replacement part.

Q: It’s been days with no activity. Any tips?
Try “training” the rodent: bait the entrance and gradually move bait deeper into the trap over several days before switching it on.

Baiting & Cleaning

Q: What bait works best?
Peanut or almond butter, seeds, crackers, soft cheese, candy, or chocolate.

Q: How much bait should I use?
A small amount in the bait dish is enough—avoid over-baiting.

Q: How do I clean the trap?
Turn OFF and remove batteries. Follow cleaning steps in the user manual.

Q: Where should I place the trap?
Along walls, in dry, clean areas with signs of rodent activity. Avoid direct sunlight or heat, especially near the battery compartment.
